Why?
The dichotomy of Pinkie Pie's personality.
Whereas Pinkie Pie, Echo, and Speck are all hyper and love to eat, Pinkie Pie and Speck share the similarity of being similarly obnoxious and suffering from character degradation. Where Pinkie Pie, throughout the course of the show, became more and more obnoxious and more of a buttmonkey, so too did Speck throughout the course of AFO and the threads.
In the case of Pinkamena, where Pinkie Pie becomes serious, depressed, lost, and lonely, Speck also suffers from having bouts of seriousness, depression, loneliness, etc. This is apparent during A Feeling Of Pain, when her mother dies. She seems happy, but if you read closely, she absolutely loses her shit. This is where her character degradation in AFO comes into play. Instead of being the silly pony everyone fell in love with, she just fell down the hole of character ruination.

Therefore, Echo x Pinkie can not be better than Speck x Pinkie, because Echo can not suffer from character degradation due to her not having a set canon and set author. She has multiple interpretations of the very vague character that she was originally created to have.

TL;DR: Speck x Pinkie > Echo x Pinkie

And now I'm after reading the last part of your work.
I can say it's a very good story, and I really like nightlight's design and overall character and world development, but there's one thing that bothers me- too much unnecessary violence. I mean, what the hell, torturing some poor kid because she was hungry? Celestia allowing to this shit? That's pretty out of character for her, and it shouldn't be a surprise to you that people like this unicorn than Nightlight
I know that this Anon is different than others, he is tough and cold, but seeing this "I can kill you" bullshit is just too much, and maybe this is the reason why there is not many people interested in this story.
Just look at AFO, nobody was complaining when Sirocca had broken wing- there was a happy ending
Hugo has been killed, but it was death like from the Leon: The Professional or Indiana Jones, sad, but well made

We've got enough violence on tv or Internet and we're here to see happy, feelsy and sometimes sad (but with a happy ending) stories about pastel ponies, not being abused (even if they did something bad)
As I said before, I really like your story and I'm waiting for more, but maybe you could make it less dark. Even if Night is now jealous and doesn't like Rosewood, they can be bros or something, like Vito suggested in his pictures. It would be sad if something good like this trio could be wasted.

Speck isn't named for any theme, it's just the name she came with.
Sirocca was named after the Jupiter Djinn Sirocco from Golden Sun, which is named for one of the Mediterranean winds.
I usually look to mythologies, or games I'm a fan of for inspiration on names.

Thank you for reading over the story and giving me your concerns! I greatly appreciate people taking an interest into the world around Nightlight. In truth, if you have read through each chapter of this series, Anon is just sadistic. He revels in his roughness, he loves the fear so many have for him.

I am very pleased with how this Anon has worked out, actually. It is not often I can write a simply cruel character, let alone worm them into the. "love interest" title. Nightlight herself has started to take on Anon's ways, as was apparent in this story, though not to his extremes. Anon in this particular story was never meant to showcase any type of emotional response while others look on in horror at him.

I want to believe I have laid out a good foundation for which people can see Anon's wanton cruelty as just the way he is. Most often times, I will have another (like the Princesses or Nightlight) give the commentary of his wickedness and then react upon their own judgement. Princess Celestia is more likely to allow Anon what he wishes to do as they have spent much time together and she understands the stakes. Nightlight is more likely to explain her feelings, but be forced to act with Anon as her, "duty" would require. It is not entirely unlike military regiment and rule.

Once again, thank you for reading! I can only promise that Rosewood will not be vivisected at this time.

If you're going to make clop, make sure that isn't the central point of the entire story.
Bat ponies either eat only fruit, or supplement fruit with a little bit of blood. There are insectfags, but they're nothing more than shitposters.
They're typically nocturnal, but Nuke had an interesting headcanon early in AFO where bat ponies would subconsciously change their sleep schedules to match the ponies that they spend the most time around.
They mostly live in Hollow Shades, and their colors are typically dull and saturated.
That's really all there is to it.

I think if people did a bit of research into the folkelore surrounding the moon (every single mythology has something, just like for the sun) they'd find a whole wealth of non-edgy names.

Chinese mythology has some nice stuff about the moon, as does the mesoamerican side of things. Plunder and pillage the mythologies and pantheons at will - it's a time honoured tradition.

As a biologist I want to point out that the digestive systems required for haemophagy and those required for omniphagy are quite different, with those creatures that do go after blood meals having very specialised innards indeed.

Whilst these are magic talking ponies and getting caught up in a stupid discussion about enzymes is remarkably autistic, if you're going for realism bloodfags and fruitfags have mutually exclusive diets. That is to say, they must eat only one or the other, not a mix.

They could, however, drink blood selectively because they like the way it tastes, or for religious purposes, or something. Humans certainly do.

Now I think of it, humans can actually digest parts of a whole blood meal - the masaai nomads will drink the blood of their cows as a high energy snack on long trips.

I've always just assumed that a nation which eats primarily non-meat products might well have a gravy like substance, and refer to it as gravy, but it be something entirely different to our gravy.

Or it might be chocolate - that meal they're eating is clearly entirely sweet, it's like a little apple turnover and an apple pie.

Depending on the amount consumed, herbivores eating meat isn't much of a problem really. It's like if most mammals eat grass - we can't digest cellulose so it comes out the other end mostly unchanged.

Also keep in mind the fact that a different structure of teeth is found in animals that evolved to have meat in their diets - horses are herbivores and wouldn't have them. Fangs are used for scraping open wounds in prey animals for haemophages.

What I'm saying is if you evolved catching and eating fish you need ways to catch and eat fish. They need some canines for ripping and tearing, and maybe little dewclaw-like hooks on their hooves for snagging fish out of the waves.

Orchid's behavior is close to mine in real life. However I didn't made him as a mary sue, a lord byron or an almighty omnipotent edgy OC.

He tends to be solitaire, a bit arrogant, a bit shy, honest, too sincere (to the point that it starts being annoying, since he doens't care too much about people he doesn't know/trust), serious too, not so talkative and extremely relaxed (well, ok, he's a lazy cunt). Also he doesn't trust people easily, but when he does he can die without telling a single word if you told him a secret, and he acts way more soft (not to the extreme of being a fucking tsundere). Even though I never wanted Sirocca to become anything more than a plot-device character, only used to bring AFO to a close, I don't much care for any reference of her having mangos shoved into her genitalia.
The story's setup was good, it was decently written, but that one little reference just killed it for me.

Furthermore, how does this hierarchy relate to the use of insults? You say that only certain fetishes should be allowed on certain boards, but also say that no one cares about people's feelings because this is 4chan. There seems to be quite the dichotomy of thinking here. Are there only certain insults that you expect to see here without ruining the thread, and the rest should be relegated to /b/? I don't think it's really Nukepone that's the problem, he's entitled to express his own opinion for what he created, it's not like any of us has to listen to him. It's moreso his fanboy's who declare his word the "Word of God" and get anally flustered if you so much as lightly portray his characters in a negative light. I don't usually write greentext so it's an interesting challenge going forward. Hecate and the legend of the Mango King will be a continuing thing. It's going to be heartwarming and non-sexual.

That's fine but I would venture there's a line somewhere between expressing distaste for a certain piece of content and calling the producer "fucking disgusting" for producing it (or in this case just for talking about it).
